Frequently asked questions...
Q: Do I need to get dance clothes and shoes for my dancer before dance starts?
A: Nope. We measure everyone during the first class and order everything they will need.
Q: What if my dancer already has shoes, leotard, etc that still fit from the previous year?
A: That's great! They can still use them. They will get a new class leotard no matter what. If they outgrow the shoes, misplace them, or they get too warn out, you are covered. We'll make sure they get a new pair*
Q: What does my dancer wear on the first day of dance if they don't have dance clothes yet?
A: They just wear comfy clothes (t-shirt, leggings, sweatpants, anything that allows them to be able to stretch)
Q: What does the enrollment fee and 10 monthly fees cover?
A: Everything. There will be no additional fees, ever.
Q: When do classes start/end?
A: The dance year, basically, follows the school year and most of the school breaks (start and end dates can vary a little).
Q: Do I enroll my dancer based on their age?
A: For our recreational classes, age is a great place to start. Once classes start, dancers may be moved around based on skill level (the director makes this decision after speaking with parents/guardians).
Our Elite Teams are all skill based. A dancer just needs to come for a simple "audition" clinic to determine which team would be best. Contact the director if you have questions.
Q: Will my dancer compete?
A: In our recreational classes, all of our dancers, 8 years and older, are given the chance to compete with one dance at one competition (again, the cost of this is already included in the monthly payments). We have a great relationship with the director of America On Stage. He and his staff have always created such a positive environment for our first time competitors. It has always been a great experience for our dancers and helps so much with their confidence and stage presence.
Our Elite Teams compete with several dances at several different competitions, depending on which team your dancer is on (again, all costs are included in the monthly payments).
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: We do not. Our director has worked so hard to make the cost as minimal and convenient as possible. We believe strongly that quality dance instruction does not need to be overly complicated and expensive for the parents. We try to be as efficient with spending on our end, as much as possible, in order to keep costs as low as possible for our dance families.
*There is a budget limit on clothing, shoes, and accessories each dance year that differs per class. Contact the director if you have further questions.
